Ms Jan

I have been learning both practical piano and music theory since the age of ten, and graduated from The University of Melbourne with a Diploma in Music in 2011. I started teaching private piano lessons since I was in high school and find it extremely rewarding to see my students improve and share the same enjoyment of music and piano as me.

Besides playing the piano, I have a passion for all types of musical genres and have participated in multiple ensembles/bands playing different kinds of music, including the Chao Feng Chinese Orchestra (as a percussionist), Jazz Band (as a pianist), Concert Band (as a saxophonist), and many others. I always try to bring a fun and enjoyable atmosphere to my classes, whilst also being educational. This way, my students are able to see the improvement in their technical and creative musical skills.

Ms Michelle

It has been 15 years since my fingers first touched the black and white keys of a piano. Since then, I have achieved Distinction in ABRSM Piano Grade 8 and graduated SACE Year 12 music with the highest grade in class. I have undertaken piano studies to Diploma level. I love performing and sharing the joy of music with others. I was the runner up in Malaysian Youth Music Festival as a piano soloist. I have been invited to perform numerous time during my Australian high school journey.

I am passionate in sharing what I know with others to the best of my ability. I like to learn and grow alongside my students, empowering them to learn and have fun at the same time. I strive to inspire my students to experience the same joy that I feel when playing the piano. I believe that music can truly enrich their own lives and countless others'.

Ms Jasmine

I teach piano and music theory. I studied both practical piano and music theory from a very young age, and am familiar with numerous international music examination syllabi including the Associated Board of the Royal School of Music (ABRSM) and Trinity College London. I have given solo piano performances and entered music competitions such as the Boroondara Eisteddfod.

I believe that music plays a very big role in our lives. To quote Academy Award winner English composer, Malcolm Arnold CBE, “Music is the social act of communication among people, a gesture of friendship, the strongest there is.”

To have the opportunity to learn music is one of the best gifts anyone can receive. I hope to share my passion for music with our students by exposing them to this world of music, by motivating and guiding them to develop their own musical ability. I hope that, in turn, they will one day share their music with the world.

Ms Clara

I learned the piano since age 7 and graduated with ATCL (Trinity College, London).

I am blessed to have the opportunity of sharing the gift of music with others for over 25 years in Malaysia, Singapore and now, in Melbourne. My multilingual ability offers me the added strength in teaching a diverse group of students in both private and group settings.

I am proud of many of my students who have successfully completed Grades 1 - 8 examinations of the Associated Board of The Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM). As a certified teacher for Musikgarten and Junior Music/Extended Courses (JMC and JXC), I enjoy teaching young, creative talents. I truly believe that music brings out the creativity in everyone. I feel most rewarded when I am able to deepen the creativity amongst the young and mature talents through my teachings. Music has allowed me to connect with my students. It is, as many would say, a universal language after all.
